Introduction
Through Luis Acevedo at ASM Scholarships, I was introduced to Eastern Michigan Head Coach Andy Walker, who reached out to me for a conversation. From the very start, I was impressed by Coach Walker’s professionalism, as well as that of Ryan Yip, the assistant coach, as they shared their vision for the brand new program. During our call, Coach Walker and I quickly connected over our shared passion for mental performance—a topic deeply rooted in the values I’ve developed through my coaches at IJGA. This connection made a strong impression, and the coaches extended an invitation for me to visit their campus in Ypsilanti.
Facility
When I arrived in Ypsilanti and first stepped onto the practice facility, I was immediately impressed. The university owns its own golf course called Eagle Crest, located by Ford lake, providing an ideal setting for preparing for college golf tournaments.

The GameAbove indoor facility at the course is equally impressive, featuring two Trackman simulators, an indoor chipping and putting green, a PuttView platform, as well as locker rooms, meeting rooms, and, of course, a ping pong table. Even when we’re not in training camps in Florida or traveling to tournaments, we have access to an optimal environment for performance and growth, despite the occasional less-than-ideal weather conditions over Winter.

College Campus
From a golf perspective, everything is top-notch, and the campus itself is equally impressive. The dorms are state-of-the-art, sponsored by GameAbove, a company that also supports the golf team. The fitness center is outstanding, and the campus offers an exceptional nutrition program, both on-site and at the golf facility. The golf facility, located just a five-minute drive from campus, makes it incredibly convenient to practice whenever you want.

Go Eagles!
I’m beyond excited to join the Eastern Michigan Eagles in August 2025 and start working with the incredible Coach Walker and Coach Yip. I’m eager to hit the ground running and deliver strong performances right away. The future is bright, and big things are on the horizon for the Eagles!
